The Sri Lankan Food Festival in the city celebrates the rich flavours of the tropical island nation with a variety of dishes
Those who love Sri Lankan delicacies have reason to cheer. JW Marriott Juhu, in collaboration with Weligama Marriott Resort & Spa and Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle Beach Resort brings to you a special Sri Lankan culinary food festival. The food festival is held at Lotus Café, from 24th February to 1st March.
Island Nation Sri Lanka’s cuisine boasts an exotic blend of spices and curry concoctions. To serve authentic Sri Lankan delicacies Chef Moraliya Arachchige Prashan Kumara from Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle Beach Resort and Chef Chanaka Denuwan from Weligama Marriott Resort & Spa, are especially flown down to Mumbai. They would be working with the culinary team of Lotus Café. Team at J W Juhu is all set to transport guests to the sandy shores of the tropical paradise. The food festival will offer a wide display of authentic Sri Lankan dishes, showcasing the rich heritage of the culinary gem.

Prepared using the finest indigenous ingredients to make for a delectable gourmet experience, guests can enjoy traditional delicacies of Sri Lanka like Cashew Curry, Mango Curry, Themparadu Rice, Fish White Curry, Chicken Red Curry, Appa (Hoppers), Koththu Roti, Chicken Chutney Roast, Fish Ambul Thiyal (Signature Fish Curry), Raw Mango Salad, Chili Pineapple Salad, Pol Sambol (traditional coconut dish) and desserts like Sago Pudding, Watalappan (Coconut Custard Pudding), Naran Kavum (coconut and rice flour dessert) amongst many more.
