International Entrepreneurship Day: Governor CP Radhakrishnan Emphasizing Swadeshi for Sustainable Development

Maharashtra Governor C P Radhakrishnan emphasized the importance of Swadeshi (self-reliance) in ensuring sustainable economic development. During his speech, he highlighted India’s goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047 and underscored the government’s support for the Make in India initiative. According to him, promoting indigenous industries and products will play a crucial role in achieving long-term economic growth and sustainability.

 On August 21, 2024 Maharashtra Governor C P Radhakrishnan spoke at the ‘Entrepreneurship Promotion Programme’ held at the World Trade Centre in Mumbai, in celebration of World Entrepreneur Day. The event was organized jointly by the International Vaish Federation and Swadeshi Jagran Manch, Mumbai. During his address, Radhakrishnan emphasized India’s ambition to become a developed nation by 2047 and stressed that fostering Swadeshi principles will be key to achieving sustainable economic development.

 During the ‘Entrepreneurship Promotion Programme’ Maharashtra Governor honored young entrepreneurs Dr. Divya Rathod and Nikunj Malpani. Additionally, he released two books: 37 Crore Start Ups Ka Desh and Temple Economics. The event celebrated both the achievements of emerging entrepreneurs and the contributions of new literature to the discourse on entrepreneurship and economic development.

At the Programme,’ notable attendees included Ajay Patki, All India Co-Convenor of Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM) for Konkan; Ravindra Sanghvi, Vibhag Sanghachalak (RSS) Mumbai; Dilip Maheshwari, President of the International Vaish Federation; and Vijay Kalantri, President of the World Trade Centre Mumbai. Their presence underscored the collaborative efforts to promote entrepreneurship and support for Swadeshi principles.
