The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s leading hospitality group, has announced the signing of a new Taj hotel in Gurugram, Haryana. This greenfield project, which will carry the prestigious Taj brand, underscores IHCL’s ongoing expansion in key Indian markets.

Ms. Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President of Real Estate & Development at IHCL, highlighted the significance of this development, stating, “Gurugram’s strategic importance, given its proximity to industrial corridors and the Delhi-NCR region, has established it as a bustling commercial hub. This new Taj hotel will provide a premium experience, catering to various segments, including MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and weddings. We are thrilled to collaborate with Tivoli Group on this venture.”

The upcoming hotel will offer 225 elegantly designed guest rooms and suites, focusing on luxury and comfort. Guests will have access to an array of dining options, including an all-day diner, a bar, a specialty restaurant, and a versatile lounge. The hotel will also feature extensive banqueting and meeting facilities, complemented by recreational amenities such as a gym, spa, swimming pool, and a social garden.

Expressing enthusiasm for the partnership, Mr. Armaan Gupta, Executive Director of Tivoli Group, stated, “We are excited to join forces with IHCL for this project. The Taj at Sohna Road will meet the rising demand for luxury hospitality experiences in the region.”

Gurugram’s strategic location near the National Capital Region (NCR) has accelerated its growth into a major corporate hub, attracting BPOs, IT companies, and multinational corporations.

With the addition of this new Taj hotel, IHCL will expand its presence in Haryana to six hotels, including two that are currently under development.
