Sarovar Hotels has teamed up with The Massif Hotel to launch Royal Tulip Kathmandu, which will become both Nepal’s largest hotel and the biggest MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) destination. The hotel will be managed under the Louvre Hotels’ Royal Tulip brand.
Located strategically on Ring Road, just 3.5 km from Tribhuvan International Airport, Royal Tulip Kathmandu will feature 304 rooms, making it the largest hotel in Nepal by room count. Designed to cater to both business and leisure travelers, the hotel will offer premium accommodations equipped with modern amenities, ensuring comfort and convenience for every guest.
Apart from its impressive room inventory, the hotel will stand as a landmark for Nepal’s MICE industry, boasting the largest convention centre in Kathmandu. Spanning 22,000 sq. ft. of flexible event space, including two grand halls of 11,000 sq. ft. each, it will host a range of large-scale events, from international conferences to corporate functions and high-profile weddings. This combination of size and versatility will position Royal Tulip Kathmandu as the city’s premier venue for business and events.
Rajendra Shakya, Chairman of The Massif Hotel, added, “We are thrilled to collaborate with Sarovar Hotels to introduce the Royal Tulip brand to Nepal. With its prime location, expansive facilities, and sophisticated design, the hotel will offer the largest room inventory and the most comprehensive MICE offerings in Kathmandu. This partnership will set new standards for luxury, hospitality, and event services in Nepal.”
Ajay K. Bakaya, Chairman of Sarovar Hotels and Director of Louvre Hotels India, shared, “We are excited to partner with The Massif Hotel to bring the Royal Tulip brand to Kathmandu. This signing marks a significant step in expanding our presence in Nepal. With the largest hotel in the city and the biggest MICE facility, Royal Tulip Kathmandu will cater to the growing demand for luxury accommodations and world-class event spaces, positioning it as a premier destination for both business and leisure travellers.”
