The prestigious Miss World festival will return to India for its 72nd edition in 2025, with Telangana as the proud host. The 28-day event, from May 4th to May 31st, will span across various destinations in the state, culminating in grand ceremonies in Hyderabad.
Following the success of the 71st edition held in New Delhi and Mumbai, Miss World moved to Telangana, a state that blends tradition with modernity. Known for its rich heritage and rapid development, Telangana is an ideal venue for this global celebration of beauty, diversity, and humanitarian causes.
Telangana, India’s youngest state, has made impressive strides in infrastructure, tourism, and safety, becoming a popular destination for international travelers. The state is recognized for its excellent connectivity, world-class airports, and thriving sectors such as IT, pharmaceuticals, and education.
Julia Morley CBE, Chairman and CEO of Miss World Limited, expressed excitement about the event, highlighting Telangana’s cultural richness and innovation. Smita Sabharwal, Secretary to the Government of Telangana, also welcomed the opportunity, emphasizing the state’s vibrant handloom legacy, art, cuisine, and crafts. She concluded, “Hosting Miss World 2025 is a reflection of Telangana’s spirit, warmth, and potential.”
