Minor Hotels has officially announced the debut of its Avani Hotels & Resorts brand in India with the upcoming Avani+ Sunray Beach Visakhapatnam Resort—a landmark new-build resort and branded residences project located along the scenic Sunray Beach in Visakhapatnam. This exclusive development will feature 117 hotel rooms and 58 branded villas, offering a blend of upscale living and leisure, and is set to raise the bar for hospitality in the region.
This launch aligns with Minor Hotels’ broader expansion strategy in India, with plans for 50 new properties across the country over the next decade. Slated for completion by 2028, the resort will include standout amenities such as three signature dining outlets, a banqueting hall, AvaniSpa, beach bar, AvaniFit gym, a large swimming pool, and a nine-hole par-three golf course—ideal for both amateur and seasoned golfers.
Strategically located on a 25.5-acre site in Bhogapuram, near the upcoming Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport (opening 2026), the resort enjoys excellent access to the Bay of Bengal and major national highways. It is ideally positioned to attract both domestic and international travelers.
The project is being developed by Sunray Green Space Pvt. Ltd., led by founder and Managing Director Mr. I.A. Raja Varma, known for award-winning contributions to eco-friendly tourism in Andhra Pradesh.
