In a significant leadership move, Fariyas Hotels has appointed seasoned hospitality professional Shreenath Shastry as its Chief Executive Officer. This strategic appointment reflects the group’s commitment to accelerating its growth while reinforcing its long-standing reputation for operational excellence in India’s competitive hospitality landscape.

With over three decades of global leadership experience, Shastry brings a unique blend of strategic foresight, cross-sector expertise, and a strong track record in managing complex operations. His career spans key areas including hospitality management, real estate, digital transformation, and integrated facility services. Prior to rejoining Fariyas Hotels, he held senior leadership roles at Wipro Limited for over a decade, where he was instrumental in leading global real estate operations, hospitality services, and strategic transactions. His professional journey also includes prominent positions at Knight Frank, Radhakrishna Hospitality Services, Majorda Beach Resort, the Taj Group, and Sterling Resorts.

Importantly, Shastry is no stranger to the Fariyas brand. He previously served as General Manager – Sales & Marketing with the group, which gives him deep insight into the company’s ethos, operational culture, and guest-centric philosophy. As CEO, he will now lead Fariyas Hotels’ overall operations and strategic expansion, with a focused vision on enhancing guest experiences, driving innovation in service delivery, and positioning the group as a future-ready hospitality brand.

Shastry’s educational background complements his professional journey. He began his schooling at Sheth Chunilal Damodardas Barfivala High School in Andheri West, Mumbai, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Mumbai. He holds a Master’s in Marketing Management from Welingkar Institute of Management, an Executive MBA from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, and completed the Advanced Management Programme at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.

Fariyas Hotels currently operates three landmark properties: the iconic Fariyas Resort in Lonavla, the centrally located Fariyas Hotel in Mumbai, and the recently launched Hilton Garden Inn Mumbai International Airport. With several new projects under development, the group is actively expanding into both established and emerging destinations across India.

Aspi Nallaseth, Advisor to the Board of Fariyas Hotels, commented, “We are delighted to welcome Shreenath Shastry to the Fariyas family. His leadership, deep industry insight, and forward-thinking approach make him the ideal person to lead us into our next chapter.”

Expressing his enthusiasm, Shastry said, “I am honoured to rejoin the Fariyas Group at such a transformative time. I look forward to working with the team to build on our strong foundation and deliver world-class experiences to our guests.”
