Over the course of his career, Malhotra has played a key role in shaping revenue strategies for several prestigious hotels. He has built expertise in high-growth verticals such as destination weddings, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions), and experiential luxury travel. His strength lies in translating a hotel’s physical grandeur into strong market positioning, backed by storytelling-led sales strategies that connect with clients and elevate brand perception.
At Fairmont Udaipur Palace, Malhotra is driving a commercial roadmap that positions the hotel not just as a palace, but as a landmark destination for grand celebrations and business gatherings. With Rajasthan’s largest luxury room inventory, two banquet halls, expansive gardens, and scenic terraces, the hotel offers scale and flexibility that few properties in the country can rival.
Under his leadership, the sales and marketing team is sharpening its focus across multiple segments—luxury weddings, private celebrations, high-end leisure, and business events. Each experience, Malhotra emphasizes, must remain personalized and flawlessly executed. Backed by Fairmont’s global legacy, Accor’s robust distribution network, and Udaipur’s timeless appeal, he is crafting a narrative that blends emotional resonance with commercial strength.
A central pillar of his strategy is the repositioning of Udaipur beyond its reputation as India’s wedding capital. Malhotra envisions the city as a serious MICE hub, supported by venues that can host anywhere from 50 to 2,000 delegates, indoor-outdoor event spaces, and partnerships with neighboring hotels for seamless execution.
He is also reimagining guest journeys through curated experiences—signature arrival rituals, bespoke in-room touches, and elevated service design. His approach balances efficiency with emotional connection, ensuring that every guest—whether bride, delegate, or leisure traveler—feels deeply cared for.
