Ganeshotsav in Maharashtra received a cultural boost on Wednesday as Shri Amitabh Singh, Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle, released four specially designed picture postcards with a commemorative cancellation themed “Ganeshotsav 2025: Cultural Heritage of Maharashtra.” The release took place on September 3 at 4 pm at Mumbaicha Raja, Lalbaug Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal, Ganesh Galli.
The postcards have been artistically created by Padma Shri awardee Achyut Palav, highlighting the festival’s rich heritage. The event was attended by senior officials, including Dr. Sudhir Jakhere, Assistant Postmaster General (BD), Yadagiri Nyalapelli, Assistant Director (PSR), Sanjay Lihe, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Mumbai East Division, and Ms. Shyamala Srinivasan, Assistant Director (BMFU).
Representatives of the Lalbaug Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal—Chairman Kiran Tawade, Secretary Swapnil Parab, and Treasurer Nikhil Nanache—were also present at the ceremony. The release added festive fervor to Ganeshotsav celebrations, blending tradition with artistic expression.
