Sabhyata Foundation brought India’s rich heritage to life with a groundbreaking cultural evening at Purana Qila, as part of the Government of India’s ‘Adopt a Heritage 2.0’ initiative. Supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Archaeological Survey of India, this unique event aimed to promote the country’s historic monuments through engaging, immersive experiences.

Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena, was the Chief Guest, while Shri Vivek Aggarwal, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Culture, was the Guest of Honor. The evening turned Purana Qila into a vibrant cultural hub, featuring Garba and Dandiya performances and a soulful concert by renowned singer Ms. Pallavi Baberwal. The event successfully brought together diverse communities, blending age-old traditions with modern interactive experiences.

Mrs. Avantika Dalmia, Co-Chairman of the Advisory Board at Sabhyata Foundation, expressed, “India’s cultural heritage is one of our greatest treasures, and it’s our responsibility to keep it alive for future generations. This event at Purana Qila is our way of making these traditions more accessible and relevant. It also marks the beginning of our journey as Smarak Sarathi.”

As Smarak Sarathi, Sabhyata Foundation is entrusted with the upkeep of four historic sites in Delhi: Purana Qila, Humayun’s Tomb, Safdarjung Tomb, and Mehrauli Archaeological Park. Their mission focuses on improving facilities, safety, accessibility, and creating enriching educational experiences to enhance these monuments as must-visit destinations. Building on their successful collaboration with Dalmia Bharat at the Red Fort, the foundation aims to replicate similar transformative experiences at these iconic sites.
