In a glittering ceremony, Liz Jaimon Jacob was crowned Jos Alukkas – Garden Vareli Miss South India 2025 at the grand finale held at The Oterra Hotel, Electronic City, Bengaluru, on Saturday. Aishwarya Ullas and Riya Sunil were named the first and second runners-up, respectively.
The pageant broke conventional beauty standards, embracing women of all heights, skin tones, regional origins, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Celebrating authentic personalities, inner strength, vision, and commitment to social causes, Miss South India 2025 set a new benchmark for pageantry in India. With official hashtags #yondboundaries and #beyondbeauty, the event highlighted diversity, empowerment, and modern ideals.
The 2025 edition featured 23 finalists in a 14-day journey that began on September 22 in Kochi, culminating in the grand finale on October 4. Contestants participated in grooming sessions, photoshoots, and fashion shows designed to empower them and showcase their best selves. The finale included past pageant winners as judges and special guests, making it a vibrant celebration of culture and femininity.
The pageant was directed by Archanaa Ravi, former Miss South India runner-up (2016) and Miss Super Globe India winner. As the first Malayali Pageant Director for Miss South India, she combines tradition with modern empowerment in her three-year tenure.
Miss South India 2025 partnered with the Rotary Club of Cochin Milan, raising ₹25 lakhs for Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) and ventilators in rural Kerala hospitals. The cheque was presented in the presence of Hon. M.P. Hibi Eden, sponsors from Jos Alukkas and Kent Constructions, and Rotary Milan officials.
The grand finale was judged by an esteemed panel including Manika Viswakarma (Miss Universe India 2025), Rahul Rajasekharan (Mister Supranational India 2021), Poonam Chetri (International Fashion Designer), Aishwarya Srinivasan (Miss Universe Kerala 2025), and Cinda Padamadan (Miss South India 2024).
