JW Marriott Hotel Juhu, Mumbai, in collaboration with Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle Beach Resort, is hosting a grand Sri Lankan culinary festival, ‘Taste of Lanka’, at its restaurant, Lotus Café. Running from October 3 to October 12, 2025, the festival also features a special Sunday brunch on October 12, offering guests an exclusive opportunity to savor Sri Lankan flavors.
The festival showcases the diverse tastes of Sri Lanka, from the hills to the cities, while bringing the coastal ambiance and relaxed island life to Mumbai. Guests will enjoy dishes crafted by renowned Sri Lankan chef Chaminda D. Silva, who brings 17 years of experience to create a unique and refined culinary journey inspired by Sri Lanka’s rich flavors and traditions. Chef Chaminda aims to make every meal a memorable and intimate experience for guests.

Guests can relish an extensive menu prepared by Chef Chaminda. The menu includes live counters featuring Egg Hopper and Plain Hopper, Chicken and Vegetable Soup, Yellow Dhal Curry, Sri Lankan-style Dun Tell Rice, Mutton Black Curry, Devilled Fish, Beans Mustard Curry, Pumpkin Kalu Pol Malu, Fried Hadhalla, Colombo Chicken Masala, Fried Cashews, Devilled Chickpea, and more. Each dish is served at live cooking stations, reflecting the warmth and communal spirit of Sri Lankan hospitality.
Beyond the culinary delights, the festival also celebrates Sri Lankan culture. Coastal-inspired décor and live music throughout the event bring the traditions and spirit of Sri Lanka alive. ‘Taste of Lanka’ is not just a feast but a multi-dimensional experience of Sri Lanka’s soul and cultural diversity.
Her Excellency Priyanga Wickramsinghe, Consul General of Sri Lanka in Mumbai, speaking to Mumbai Messenger Newspaper said, “This festival is more than a gastronomic celebration; it is an invitation to explore Sri Lanka’s diverse flavors, cultural richness, and the spirit of hospitality that defines our nation.”
