Maharashtra Governor Acharya Devvrat on Monday inaugurated the Viksit Bharat Leadership Summit 2025 organised by Bharat 24 news channel at Yashwantrao Chavan Centre in Mumbai. Lighting the ceremonial lamp, the Governor said that every segment of society has a crucial role to play in fulfilling the national vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047”.
Highlighting India’s rapid economic rise, Governor Devvrat said the country has leapt from the 11th to the 5th largest economy in the past decade and is now heading toward becoming the world’s third largest. He added that more than 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty in the last ten years, reflecting the scale of social transformation underway.
“India has taken unprecedented strides not only in infrastructure but in several key sectors that are propelling us towards self-reliance and prosperity. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation is moving purposefully toward the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047,” the Governor said.
He also lauded Bharat 24 for its role in disseminating information about the Government of India’s development initiatives and innovations to a wider audience. On the occasion, the Governor felicitated distinguished personalities for their contributions in various fields.
Bharat 24 CEO and Editor-in-Chief Dr. Jagdeesh Chandra, CBO and Strategic Advisor Manoj Jagyasi, Consulting Editor Shashikant Sharma and other invitees were present.
