Fairfield by Marriott Mumbai International Airport is set to bring the timeless flavours of Lucknow to the city with its upcoming ‘Daawat-e-Awadh’ Food Festival, scheduled from 5th to 14th December. Curated by Chef Yasmin Qureshi, the festival celebrates the soul and heritage of Awadhi cuisine, renowned for its depth, refinement, and royal lineage.
The event promises guests an immersive culinary journey inspired by the royal kitchens of Lucknow. An elaborate spread of traditional Awadhi delicacies will be showcased, ranging from aromatic biryanis to melt-in-your-mouth kebabs. Each preparation reflects the cuisine’s hallmark craftsmanship, slow-cooking traditions, and indulgent flavours that have been preserved across generations.
The festival also pays homage to the legendary Late Chef Imtiyaz Qureshi, one of the most celebrated names in Awadhi culinary history. His rich legacy lives on through Chef Yasmin Qureshi, who continues to present the essence of this iconic cuisine with authenticity and finesse.
Throughout the festival period, guests can savour a curated selection of signature Awadhi dishes at the hotel’s dining venue. The hotel has also provided a reservation contact number for diners wishing to experience this exclusive culinary showcase.
“Iftekhar Mehdi, General Manager of Fairfield by Marriott Mumbai International Airport, said, ‘This festival is a celebration of Awadhi culinary legacy, thoughtfully brought to life by Chef Yasmin Qureshi. Our aim is to honour the traditions of Lucknow while offering our guests a memorable gourmet journey.’”
