JW Marriott Goa has welcomed Pastry Chef Tanvi Palshikar, whose remarkable journey from interior designer to pastry chef showcases her ability to reinvent and excel. Transitioning from spatial design to pastry, she brought her refined sense of proportion, detail, and visual harmony into her craft, making her a perfect fit for the award-winning team at JW Marriott Goa.

Tanvi began her career as a Cake Artist, gaining recognition for transforming sketches into edible art. Her career in the F&B industry took off at JW Marriott Pune, where she progressed from Chef de Partie to Junior Sous Chef and eventually Pastry Sous Chef. There, she led operations across various outlets, including pastry shops, all-day dining, and large banquets. She successfully managed audits, crafted creative menus, engaged guests, mentored talent, and oversaw kitchen operations. Known for her consistency and refined flavor palette, she became an integral part of the pastry team.

Tanvi later expanded her leadership role at a Pune-based hospitality group, managing pastry operations for two restaurants and a B2B vertical. She focused on dessert R&D, training, and presentation, while ensuring quality and cost-efficiency.

Her craft has received significant attention in the media, particularly for her fully edible ‘Paithani Saree’ cake, which garnered praise across regional publications. Her work has also been featured by BBC Marathi and History TV18. Tanvi has been recognized as a Leading Lady Chef by Marriott International and completed a specialized Bakery & Pastry course through the Lavonne × Marriott collaboration.

At JW Marriott Goa, Tanvi leads a dynamic pastry team, bringing her signature creativity, precision, and warmth to the resort’s culinary program. Guests can look forward to refined desserts, personalized celebration cakes, and a renewed dessert philosophy rooted in craftsmanship, enhancing the resort’s culinary offerings.
