The Governor of Maharashtra, Jishnu Dev Varma, called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi today. The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s Office and was a courtesy visit, marking the first interaction between Governor Varma and the Prime Minister since he assumed office as the state’s Governor.
As per the press release issued by Lok Bhavan, the meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere in keeping with standard protocol. The interaction reflects the Governor’s commitment to maintaining close coordination with the Union Government while carrying out his constitutional duties in Maharashtra.
