Fairmont Mumbai has introduced “M&M with Proust” at Madeleine de Proust, offering guests a refined matcha-inspired afternoon experience designed around relaxation, indulgence and contemporary café culture.
Launched for the summer season, the experience is available daily from 3 pm to 6 pm and blends the calming appeal of matcha with the sophistication of a French-inspired setting.
Conceptualised as a modern social ritual, the offering caters to young adults, couples, families and travellers seeking leisurely afternoons and visually appealing culinary moments.
The specially curated menu celebrates matcha through innovative beverages and gourmet creations. Guests can choose from fruit-based matcha lattes layered with fresh purées, alongside tea-infused blends prepared using house-made cordials for added aroma and flavour.
The culinary programme reflects an Indo-French philosophy, combining familiar comfort flavours with refined continental techniques. Signature savoury dishes include Matcha Salt Yakitori and Matcha Tempura, both crafted to highlight subtle earthy notes and delicate textures.
Dessert offerings feature Pistachio Matcha Tiramisu, Matcha Fruit Cheesecake and Matcha Mochi, while contemporary additions such as the Matcha Crêpe & Waffle Sandwich and Matcha Fruit Sando add a playful, Instagram-friendly touch to the experience.
The tea lounge has also embraced a botanical garden-inspired design aesthetic with pastel green accents, matte ceramics, sculptural latte presentations and minimalist interiors aimed at creating a calm yet photogenic environment.
Speaking on the launch, Chef Mihir Kane said the concept was designed to showcase matcha in innovative forms while retaining its authentic essence.
“M&M with Proust” is expected to emerge as one of Fairmont Mumbai’s signature summer dining experiences, combining flavour, elegance and immersive presentation under one roof.
