Mumbai, May 1, 2026: In an inspiring display of memory, discipline, and academic excellence, students of JP Classes in Sion achieved a remarkable feat by reciting all 118 elements of the Periodic Table—both forward and in reverse—along with their symbols. The extraordinary event took place at Swami Nityanand Hall, Sion, and has now been officially recognised as a World Record by the OMG Book of Records.
A group of 20 students participated in this unique intellectual challenge, showcasing exceptional concentration, accuracy, and confidence as they performed live in front of an audience comprising parents, educators, and distinguished guests. The record was verified and awarded by Prof. Dr. Dinesh Gupta, who evaluated the performance across stringent parameters before confirming the historic achievement.
The students were trained under the guidance of renowned memory expert Mr. Suresh Sharma, a Limca Book of Records holder and a leading figure in memory and recognition training in India. His innovative techniques enabled the students to master not just memorisation, but also recall precision under pressure.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Santosh J. Chauhan, Founder and Managing Director of JP Classes – Sion, expressed immense pride in his students’ accomplishment. He emphasized that the institute’s mission goes beyond preparing students for competitive exams such as IIT-JEE, NEET, and MHT-CET. “We aim to nurture confident, focused, and capable individuals. This achievement reflects the potential of young minds when guided with the right approach,” he said.
The event coincided with Maharashtra Day, adding a sense of pride and patriotic spirit to the celebration. The audience responded with enthusiastic applause, deeply moved by the students’ performance and dedication.
Mr. Suresh Sharma highlighted the broader impact of memory training, noting that it enhances brain efficiency, improves concentration, boosts confidence, and equips students to handle academic pressure effectively. “These are life skills that extend far beyond examinations,” he said.
Parents present at the event expressed immense joy and gratitude. One parent shared, “We never realised our child had such potential. JP Classes has truly helped uncover and nurture this hidden talent.” A student participant added, “Not every institution focuses on overall development. I feel fortunate to be trained in such a supportive environment.”
The event was also graced by Prof. N. H. Dubey, a respected academician and author known for his contributions to engineering education. Reflecting on the performance, he remarked, “In over three decades of teaching, I have rarely witnessed such transformation in cognitive abilities. This is a testament to the power of innovative learning techniques.”
This milestone achievement has not only brought recognition to JP Classes but has also filled the Sion community and Mumbai at large with pride. It stands as a powerful reminder that with the right mentorship and dedication, students can push the boundaries of what is possible.
