As part of France’s efforts to attract more Indian students for higher education, the Choose France Tour 2026, the French Government’s official higher education fair, will be held in Mumbai and Pune in October, giving students an opportunity to meet representatives of leading French universities and institutions. The tour will also visit Delhi and Bengaluru as part of its four-city India programme.

Organised by Campus France India under the Embassy of France in India, the fair will be held in Mumbai on October 11 at The Leela and in Pune on October 13 at Sheraton Grand. The Delhi and Bengaluru editions will follow on October 15 and 17 respectively.

The French diplomatic mission and its education partners are also using digital platforms to promote the initiative and reach prospective students across India. The tour is being publicised through social media and the official Campus France platforms, extending information about participating institutions, programmes and registration to students beyond the four host cities.

France has emerged as one of Europe’s sought-after destinations for international higher education, attracting students through globally recognised programmes, research opportunities and links with industry. According to Campus France, 9,100 Indian students were enrolled in French higher education in 2024–25, an increase of 17% over the previous year. India moved to the 11th position among countries of origin for international students in France.

France and India have set an ambitious target of welcoming 30,000 Indian students in France by 2030, underlining the growing academic and people-to-people ties between the two countries.

The fair will provide information on bachelor’s, master’s, engineering, business, arts and research programmes. Students can also seek guidance on admissions, scholarships, visas, accommodation and student life.Campus France experts will be available to answer queries and help prospective students make informed decisions about studying in France.
