Seasoned Culinary Master, Amitesh Virdi has joined JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove & Spa’s as new Executive Chef. He brings with him around two decades of culinary expertise. Chef Amitesh has already built a recognizable reputation for himself in the industry. He donned the apron at some of the most renowned hospitality and culinary establishments in the country like Grand Hyatt Delhi, Hyatt Regency Mumbai, Grand Hyatt Mumbai, JW Marriott Juhu Mumbai and JW Marriott Sahar Mumbai. He has also held the baton at a popular Indian restaurant chain, Punjab Grill, as their Brand Chef, handling up to 10 restaurants for Western India and the South India region.
Chef Virdi did his primary education from Our Lady of Fatima Convent High School, Patiala. He joined Institute of Hotel Management, (IHM Jaipur ), 1998 – 2001. Chef Virdi has a rich experience in menu planning, F&B conceptualization, designing new kitchens and handling preparation of elaborate meals in Indian, Western, Oriental and New World Cuisines. He has thorough knowledge of ingredients, cooking methods, their application and adaptability, knows food magic and consistent in his demeanor, professionalism and performance. He is a goal oriented professional with lots of capability.
