Maha Guv B S Koshyari inaugurating Annual Conference of Society of Indian Physiotherapists with other dignitaries

The Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari inaugurated the 5th Annual Conference of Society of Indian Physiotherapists in Mumbai. Vice Chancellor of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Dr Dilip Mhaisekar, President of Society Dr Raju Parasher, Secretary Dr Nitesh Bansal and leading physiotherapists from India were present. The event was held at Novotel hotel in Mumbai on 10th January, 2020. The conference will be continuing till 12th January 2010. 

Addressing the conference Governor B S Koshyari stated that Physiotherapy is in practice for past many years and has been efficient form of treatment for dysfunctions and disabilities for thousands of years. It is considered a key treatment in the rehabilitation of patients suffering from debilitating conditions as a result of accidents or diseases.

The Society of Indian Physiotherapists Annual Conference aims to provide a platform for Physiotherapists to meet, dialogue, interact, deliberate and socialize.  It also intends make representation and liaison with various Government and Non-Government Organizations in India and Abroad, collect and provide information related to Physiotherapy to various organizations for the purpose of framing guidelines, policies, rules & regulations etc.
