Shivsena Shakha Pramukh Dhanuka distributes food & water to migrants

Shivsena leaders Gajanan Kirtikar, Sunil Prabhu & Sudhakar Surve took keen initiative

 

  • Prominent  Organizations Rotary Club of Western Elite, Lion’s Club of Malad – Borivali and Narayan Reiki Satsang Samiti supported whole heartedly    

 

 The government of Maharashtra and railway ministry was busy arranging trains for migrant labourers from Mumbai, many social organization ensured that migrants not remain hungry while travelling. Subhash Dhanuka, Shiv Sena Shakha Pramukh of shakha number 44 came forward and distributed food packets and mineral water to all migrants who left by 7 trains to their respective destinations. Subhash Dhanuka ensured that every passenger who were leaving Mumbai by trains, should be served with meal and water bottles. He was personally distributing meal packet and water bottle to migrants. He ensured that proper sanitization; social distancing is maintained as per prescribed protocol. 

 Mumbai’s prominent and leading social organizations came forward to help migrants at the time of need.  These social organisations included Rotary Club of Western Elite, Lion’s Club of Malad – Borivali and Narayan Reiki Satsang Samiti. There were few more individuals and social organizations also donated whole heartedly for good cause. 

 Subhash Dhanuka said “We were watching in News Channels about passengers were not provided meals and waters and were left high and dry. After seeing their plight, all above organizations decided to serve meal and water to every migrant who were leaving Mumbai. We could get lists from state governments about originating of trains from Borivali for migrants. We ensured every migrant should get meal and water for their entire journey. All above social organizations were happy to be a part for this noble cause and have promised to be a part of similar initiative if needed. We are thankful that they came forward and stood for good humanitarian cause”. 

 Dhanuka added “Shivsena MP shri Gajanan Kirtikar, MLA shri Sunil Prabhu, Vibhag Pramukh Sudhakar Surve were actively involved and monitoring operations for migrants and needy. Every now and then, they were enquiring about wellbeing of every affected person for their timely assistance. Indeed it was a morale booster for me and entire team who were participating in the relief drive”.  

 The senior leaders of Shiv Sena like Gajanan Kirtikar – Member of Parliament, Sunil Prabhu local MLA and Sudhakar Surve – Shiv Sena Vibhag Pramukh also took keen iterative to ensure everyone should get meal and water while leaving. All leaders wanted that every migrant worker leave this city with good memories and should not be deprived of basic meal.

 Gajanan Kirtikar, Shiv Sena Member of Parliament, exclusively speaking to MUMBAI MESSENGER NEWSPAPER said “At the time of Corona Pandemic, we observed that entire nation stood for humanity, irrespective of religions, caste and creed. Individuals, social organization came forward whole heartedly in support of needy. This could remind us about cultural values and ethos we are grown with. There was an entire support for everything like medicine, milks, rations and cooked meal for needy. I have distributed around 10,000 ration packets for migrants and needy people in my constituency, so they should not sleep hungry”.

Kirtikar further adds “Being a Member of Parliament, it is my duty to arrange trains for migrants who wanted to go to their native place. As there was no trains were made available for migrants of Gujrat, I ensured to arrange lone train to Palanpur on very last day, 31st May 2020 from Borivali station. Shakha Pramukh Subhash Dhanuka, other committee members and karykartas were present to provide meals, snack packets and water bottle. I am happy all people supported at the time of pandemic”.
