The makers of Saina, which stars Parineeti Chopra in the lead role, have announced the official release date of the much-awaited film.
Based on the life of ace badminton player Saina Nehwal, the biographical drama will enter theatres on March 26.
Today, Chopra shared the poster of the film to reveal the same. Sharing the poster, the actress wrote, “SAINA! In cinemas 26th March.”
The poster features Chopra’s hand with a tricolour wrist band while in a service position. The poster also shows a shuttlecock mentioning the film’s title.
Saina Nehwal also shared the poster on Twitter. Along with the poster she wrote, “I am so glad to share a glimpse of my upcoming movie, Saina. Lots of love to the entire team. In cinemas on 26th March.”
Saina went on floors in 2019. The film was delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. It has been directed by well-known writer-filmmaker Amole Gupte, who has previously directed films like Stanley Ka Dabba (2011) and Hawaa Hawaai (2014).
Talking about Parineeti Chopra, the actress was last seen in her recently released Netflix thriller The Girl On The Train (2021). Also, she has quite a few films on her platter including Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal.
