MNS chief Raj Thackeray, his mother, sister test positive for Covid-19

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray, his mother and sister have tested positive for Covid-19, news agency ANI reported. Thackeray and his sister have been admitted to Lilavati Hospital.

On the virus front, Maharashtra recorded 1,632 new covid-19 cases, slightly up from a day ago, and 40 fresh fatalities on Friday, while 1,744 patients recovered from the infection in the state. Eight out of 36 districts did not report any fresh case. There are now 24,138 active cases in the state, while the coronavirus recovery rate stands at 97.46 per cent.
