Mumbaikar’s have one more reason to cheer this winter, IHCL’s Taj Lands End hotel at Mumbai’s queen of suburb has reopened their much sought-after restaurant “Tropic”. Tropic is an urban oasis to escape the hustle of the city and revel in the soothing sea breeze and blazing barbeque nights. It is open for its resident guests but also for the non-resident patrons who want to just find the calm in chaos for a few hours. With the incoming winter season and the ring of festivities, the restaurant poses as a coveted open-air space to sip and dine under the sky and stars.

The patrons can indulge in a gastronomic expedition with a melange of signature grills and scintillating music besides the serenity of the tranquil pool, under the open skies.

Chef Rohit Sangwan, Executive Chef, Taj Lands End commenting on reopening said “We are excited to reopen Tropics to our non-resident guests this year. This outdoor restaurant by the poolside is reminiscent of a lush island paradise. We have crafted a live barbeque menu centred on exquisite produce ranging from New Zealand Lamb Chops to Asian Barramundi”.

Chef Rohit further added “There is an eclectic mix of grilled delights such as Peruvian asparagus, German Frankfurter sausages, Chicken Scallopini and locally sourced prawns accompanied by a wide selection of homemade sauces. The piece de resistance are the Mexican paletas, colourful popsicles made with fresh fruit juices. We will be taking our guests on a sensorial journey. As the Sun sets, they can unwind with some unique concoctions from our Gin Garden accompanied by the enticing aroma of the grills being made, serenaded by a live crooner through the evening.”

About Tropic: Skirted by the seaside outside and a stunning pool area indoors, Tropics at Taj Lands End, Mumbai combines the charm of food, music and views all at one destination with a lingering of the breezy mood as one spends the day at the beautifully set up venue.
