Governor and CM launch Cleanliness Campaign at Girgaum Chowpatty

The Governor of Maharashtra Ramesh Bais and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde joined hundreds of citizens and volunteers in a massive cleanliness campaign at Girgaum Chowpatty in Mumbai on Sunday, October 1st, 2023.

The nationwide Cleanliness campaign, named ‘One Date, One Hour, One Time for Cleanliness’ was launched ahead of the 154th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi at various places in the State.

Numerous luminaires participated in cleanliness drive that included Guardian Minister of Mumbai Deepak Kesarkar, Chief Secretary Manoj Saunik, Brihanmumbai Municipal Administrator Dr I S Chahal, veteran cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar, actors Padmini Kolhapure, Juhi Chawla, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Subodh Bhave.

Beside them, Consul General of Israel in Mumbai Kobbi Shoshani, officials of Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard also participated in the cleanliness drive. NCC cadets, Municipal officials and volunteers of various non-governmental organizations also took part in the cleanliness campaign.
