The Governor of Maharashtra, C.P. Radhakrishnan, paid homage to Pope Francis, Head of the Roman Catholic Church, at a solemn Prayer Meet held at the Archbishop House in Mumbai on Friday.

During the ceremony, the Governor offered floral tributes to the portrait of Pope Francis, who was also the Sovereign Head of the Vatican City. He then observed a moment of silence, honoring the Pope’s legacy of compassion, peace, and spiritual leadership.

The event was led by Archbishop of Bombay, John Rodrigues, and attended by a distinguished gathering, including representatives of various religions and Consul Generals from several countries based in Mumbai. Their presence underscored the universal respect and admiration for Pope Francis and reflected the spirit of unity across faiths.

Also present was Dr. Prashant Narnavre, IAS, Secretary to the Governor, who joined in the tribute alongside other dignitaries.

The interfaith gathering served as a powerful reminder of the Pope’s enduring message of love, inclusivity, and dialogue among nations and religions.
