Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma hosted a reception in honour of Myanmar President Min Aung Hlaing and the high-level delegation accompanying him at Maharashtra Lok Bhavan in Mumbai on Tuesday.
The reception was attended by senior political leaders, government officials and distinguished guests, reflecting the importance of the visit and the growing engagement between India and Myanmar. The Governor welcomed the visiting President and delegation and extended Maharashtra’s hospitality during their stay in the city.
Later in the evening, Governor Jishnu Dev Varma hosted a banquet in honour of President Min Aung Hlaing and members of the Myanmar delegation. The event brought together key representatives of the Maharashtra government and provided an opportunity for interaction and exchange of views.
Among those present were the Governor’s spouse Sudha Dev Varma, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Amruta Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar, Chairman of the Maharashtra Legislative Council Ram Shinde, Skill Development Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Protocol Minister Jaykumar Rawal and senior government officials.
The visit highlighted the cordial relations between India and Myanmar and underscored efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation and regional engagement.
