Taj Santacruz Mumbai is presenting the rich culinary traditions of Lucknow through its special ‘Flavours of Awadh’ food festival, being held from July 18 to 25 at the hotel’s signature restaurant, Tiqri.
The week-long festival offers guests an opportunity to savour the royal flavours of Awadhi cuisine, renowned for its refined cooking techniques, aromatic spices and time-honoured recipes. Hosted daily from 7.30 pm, the festival recreates the grandeur of the Nawabi kitchens, bringing the authentic taste of Awadh to Mumbai.
The specially curated menu has been crafted by renowned chef Shafullah Qureshi, featuring a selection of traditional Awadhi delicacies prepared using authentic recipes and classic cooking methods. Diners can enjoy fragrant biryanis, an assortment of succulent kebabs and several signature dishes inspired by the royal culinary heritage of Lucknow.
Awadhi cuisine is celebrated for its distinctive dum style of slow cooking, delicate use of spices and rich gastronomic legacy. The festival aims to showcase these traditional techniques while introducing guests to one of India’s most celebrated regional cuisines in an elegant dining setting.
