Dining at Mezzo Mezzo is less of a meal and more of a curated culinary experience. Helmed by Italian Chef Avigo Jacopo, the restaurant brings storytelling to the plate, blending authenticity with creative flair.

From the moment I arrived, the hospitality at Mezzo Mezzo immediately stood out. The restaurant hostess, Gianna Dimaki, welcomed me warmly in both Italian and English, instantly evoking the charm and elegance of dining in Italy. Chef Avigo Jacopo personally greeted me and escorted me to my table, later returning to walk me through each dish. His thoughtful explanations and interactive presence added a personal touch that made the evening feel truly immersive and memorable.

What truly impressed me was that this attention extended beyond my table. Chef Avigo attended to every guest, sharing the nuances of each dish and creating an engaging, immersive dining atmosphere. As a vegetarian, I was particularly pleased with how every course catered beautifully to my preferences without compromising on taste or presentation.

It began with a refined bread basket featuring ciabatta, grissini, and indulgent truffle butter—setting the tone for what was to come. The meal continued with a refreshing Summertime Salad, followed by a perfectly balanced Spanakopita and the rich, comforting Polenta Gorgo. The Rigatoni Marde was a standout—flavourful and crafted with finesse. Each dish reflected a harmonious combination of textures and ingredients, showcasing the chef’s artistry.

Service deserves special mention. Under the dynamic leadership of restaurant manager Jordan Salvadore, the team ensured a seamless and warm dining experience. Much like the chef, Jordan made it a point to visit every table, interacting with guests and ensuring their comfort. This level of personal attention truly reflects the Marriott standard of personalised service. A highlight was the unique Strawberry Cheesecake cocktail—smooth, inventive, and delightfully soothing.
