Mumbai: Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach has appointed Abhijit Masurkar as Director of Sales & Marketing, strengthening its commercial leadership team with an experienced hospitality professional who brings nearly two decades of expertise in sales, revenue growth and business development.
In his new role, Masurkar will lead the hotel’s sales and marketing function, with responsibility for driving commercial performance, expanding market presence and strengthening business across the corporate, leisure, weddings and MICE segments.
Masurkar most recently served in a senior commercial role at Hilton Mumbai International Airport, where he contributed to revenue growth through strategic pricing, market segmentation and distribution initiatives. He has also played key roles in strengthening sales performance and business development at several IHCL properties, including Vivanta Navi Mumbai and Taj Falaknuma Palace.
Before joining Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach, Masurkar held senior commercial leadership positions with leading hospitality brands, including Hilton, IHCL’s Taj and Vivanta hotels, The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, and ITC Hotels. During his career, he has gained extensive experience in commercial strategy, market development, revenue management and stakeholder engagement across luxury and upscale hotel brands.
A commerce graduate from the University of Mumbai, Masurkar has built his career around developing sustainable commercial strategies, enhancing market share and leading high-performing sales teams. His experience spans multiple hospitality segments, including rooms, food and beverage, meetings and events, and destination weddings.
His appointment is expected to further strengthen the hotel’s commercial strategy as Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach continues to focus on expanding its market presence and delivering sustained business growth in Mumbai’s competitive hospitality landscape.
