Maharashtra Governor and CM Inaugurate Tribute Wall for Freedom Fighters in Mumbai

Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, on Tuesday, March 25th, marked the beginning of an important initiative with the ceremonial Bhumi Pujan for the Tribute Wall, also known as the Wall of Honour for Freedom Fighters. This significant event took place near the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, located in the vicinity of Mantralaya in Mumbai.

The Tribute Wall is being developed at the behest of the Chakra Vision India Foundation Trust, an organization committed to preserving the legacy of India’s freedom fighters. As part of its nationwide effort, the Foundation is constructing 108 such walls across the country to pay homage to the valiant men and women who fought for India’s independence.

The event was attended by a distinguished group of dignitaries, including the Chairperson of the Maharashtra Legislative Council, Prof. Ram Shinde, the Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Rahul Narwekar, and the Speaker of the Puducherry Legislative Assembly, Embalam R. Selvam. Also present were former Minister Ravindra Chavan, Founder of the Chakra Vision Foundation, Chakra Rajasekar, Vice Chairman Gagan Malhotra, MLA Shrikant Bharatiya, and several other prominent figures from various sectors.

The unveiling of the Tribute Wall is expected to serve as a lasting tribute to the sacrifices made by freedom fighters, further strengthening the cultural and historical fabric of the nation.
