The Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, has opened admissions for the 41st batch of its flagship Post Graduate Diploma in Packaging (PGDP) programme for the academic year 2025–26. The two-year, full-time course is tailored for science graduates from disciplines such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Microbiology, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Agriculture, Food Science/Technology, Polymer Science, or Engineering. Applicants must hold a degree from an AICTE-recognised university and have secured at least a second-class standing.
R. K. Mishra (IRS), Director of IIP, speaking to Mumbai Messenger, said that the course will be offered at IIP centres in Mumbai, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad. The last date to apply is June 15, 2025, and the entrance examination is scheduled for June 22, 2025. He added that this programme not only equips students with comprehensive industry-relevant knowledge but also positions them strongly in the fast-growing packaging sector.
The institute is known for its inclusive support structure. Scholarships are available exclusively for female students, as well as for candidates from the EWS, SC, ST, and OBC categories. In addition, IIP facilitates collateral free education loans through nationalized banks, ensuring financial accessibility for all. The Mumbai campus is equipped with separate hostel facilities for male and female students, offering a secure and conducive learning environment.
