The Department of Posts held its Annual Business Meet 2025–26 in New Delhi, led by Union Minister of Communications and DoNER, Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia. The meet brought together Heads of Circles from across the country to chart the future course for India Post’s transformation into a citizen-focused logistics and service provider.
Secretary (Posts) Ms. Vandita Kaul inaugurated the event by highlighting the department’s achievements over the past year and outlining strategic priorities such as innovation, inclusivity, and service excellence.
A key feature of the meet was the launch of Dak Samvaad, a new monthly e-newsletter introduced by Shri Scindia and Ms. Kaul. The platform will showcase success stories, innovations, and business insights to strengthen communication and engagement across India Post’s vast network.
Circle Heads presented performance reports and discussed regional initiatives, highlighting grassroots efforts in logistics, banking, e-commerce, and public services. Shri Scindia interacted with delegates, noting regional aspirations and challenges while reaffirming India Post’s crucial role in bridging the rural-urban divide and promoting financial inclusion.
“India Post isn’t just a service but a lifeline connecting the remotest corners of our nation,” said Scindia, lauding the dedication and ideas coming from every part of the country.
The Minister praised India Post’s shift towards a performance-driven culture with corporate-style management practices. He set ambitious growth targets of 20% to 30% for FY 2025–26, tailored to each Circle’s potential.
Discussions also addressed infrastructure development, digital enablement, and process simplification—critical components in shaping India Post as a future-ready, last-mile service leader. The event concluded with a unified commitment to strengthening innovation, business growth, and service excellence throughout the organisation.
