The LaLiT Resort & Spa Bekal has announced the soft launch of “Swasthya Retreat,” reinforcing its commitment to preserving India’s ancient healing legacy. Rooted in age-old Ayurvedic wisdom, the programme positions the Kerala property as a modern sanctuary for holistic wellbeing. Introduced before wellness advocates, travel leaders and media representatives, the initiative reflects The LaLiT Suri Hospitality Group’s vision of blending experiential luxury with India’s timeless wellness heritage—an ethos also reflected in the spacious, tranquil setting of The LaLiT Mumbai’s swimming pool.

The LaLiT Resort & Spa Bekal, located between the Nombili River and the Arabian Sea, offers a serene natural setting enhanced by the Swasthya Retreat. Grounded in the Sanskrit concept of natural health, the programme combines Ayurveda, yoga and mindful nutrition to promote balance and healing. Developed with Spiceology, it features customised tracks such as Panchakarma detox, pain care, weight management, anti-ageing therapies and de-stress programmes, supported by Ayurvedic doctors, sattvik cuisine, meditation and personalised lifestyle guidance.

The property’s design complements its wellness focus, with landscaped gardens, internal waterways and 38 suites featuring private jacuzzis and lagoon views. Its 20,000 sq ft Ayurvedic spa houses 11 treatment rooms for sunrise yoga, traditional therapies and evening sessions by the backwaters, aimed at helping guests restore natural rhythms in a calm, unhurried environment. Sustainability remains central, with farm-to-table sourcing, zero-waste culinary practices and initiatives supporting local craftsmanship, reflecting Kerala’s ecological heritage and The LaLiT’s commitment to conscious hospitality.

The evening unfolded in a warm, uplifting atmosphere, with tables adorned with flowers and candlelight. Students from Kerala performed the graceful Mohiniyattam dance, adding a cultural touch. Exclusively crafted classic elixirs under the guidance of Corporate Manager and Head Sommelier Charles Donnadieu complemented expertly curated dishes overseen by Executive Chef Ameet Rane, served by the poolside. Several live cooking counters further enhanced the experience. Shalini Tewari, General Manager of Corporate Loyalty Programs and Wellness, presided over the event, while Nischit Pathania, General Manager of The LaLiT Mumbai, and Gurbani Kaur, Head of Marketing and Communications, personally welcomed guests.

Cyril Feuillebois, founder of Spiceology, said the retreat was rooted in India’s deep tradition of healing and created on the belief that wellbeing should be a way of life, blending Ayurveda, nature and modern mindfulness to offer guests a personal and purposeful wellness experience.
