French President Emmanuel Macron Concludes Mumbai Visit

Mumbai, February 18: Emmanuel Macron, President of the Republic of France, accompanied by his wife Brigitte Macron, left Mumbai on Wednesday after completing a series of official engagements, including bilateral meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

During his visit, President Macron held discussions aimed at further strengthening the strategic partnership between India and France, with a focus on cooperation in defence, technology, innovation and global issues of mutual concern. The engagements formed part of his official visit to India.

The French President and the First Lady were seen off at the airport by Maharashtra Governor Acharya Devvrat, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

President Macron’s visit highlighted the deepening ties between the two countries, with both sides reiterating their commitment to expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.
