India Post, in collaboration with Shiprocket, on Tuesday launched international e-commerce export services from Mumbai, aiming to simplify cross-border shipping for Indian exporters. The initiative is expected to enhance access to global markets, particularly benefiting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Amitabh Singh, Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra & Goa, speaking at the launch, said, “India Post is committed to simplifying cross-border e-commerce from India. Our collaboration with Shiprocket will allow exporters in Mumbai to seamlessly avail Department of Posts services to reach multiple countries.”
The Mumbai regional facility will integrate Shiprocket’s technology-driven platform with India Post’s extensive international network. This partnership will streamline account management, operational coordination, and logistics support, ensuring faster export processing and more reliable delivery. Strategically located in India’s commercial hub, the initiative aims to improve service coverage for exporters across western and southern India.
Officials present at the event included Ms. Kaiya Arora, Postmaster General, Mumbai Region; Shri Manoj Kumar, Director Postal Services (Mails & BD); Ms. Simran Kaur, Director Postal Services (Headquarters); and Shiprocket representatives Mr. Akshay Ghulati, CEO International Shipping; Mr. Varun Parihar, Vice President; and Mr. Khushant, Associate Director.
