OTM, organised by Fairfest Media, has once again emerged as a leading travel trade show in India and Asia in an independent market research study conducted by NielsenIQ. According to the organisers, this is the third consecutive year that respondents have identified OTM as the leading travel trade exhibition platform in the region.

The annual study, commissioned by Fairfest Media and independently carried out by NielsenIQ, surveyed exhibitors and visitors who had participated in OTM as well as other major travel trade shows. The survey evaluated 15 international travel trade events across Asia and 19 regional shows in India, including SATTE, ITB Asia, TTF and ITB India.

According to the 2026 findings, 63 per cent of respondents identified OTM as the leading travel trade show in India, significantly ahead of competing events. In the broader Asia-wide category, 36 per cent selected OTM as the leading travel trade show in Asia. The study also highlighted OTM’s strong business value, with 71 per cent of eligible respondents stating that it delivered the highest overall business value among all evaluated travel trade exhibitions.

The research covered exhibitors and visitors from Asia, Europe, North America and Africa, including respondents from India, the UAE, the United States, Switzerland and South Africa. Conducted between March 18 and April 7, 2026, the survey included 435 respondents, comprising 77 exhibitors and 358 visitors, more than double the sample size of the previous year’s study.

Commenting on the findings, Sanjiv Agarwal said the results reflected OTM’s growing leadership and business value within the global travel industry. He added that the platform would continue focusing on quality buyers, meaningful business meetings and measurable outcomes as India and Asia strengthen their importance in global tourism markets.
