Mumbai’s picturesque Priyadarshini Park at Nepean Sea Road will host the annual Seaside Yoga Utsav on June 21, 2026, marking the International Day of Yoga with a morning dedicated to health, mindfulness and community well-being. Organized by Susieben Shah in collaboration with Yogic Gurukul and Inner Wheel District 314, the event will begin at 7 a.m. and is open to participants aged 14 years and above.
This year’s theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” highlights the importance of yoga in promoting physical and mental wellness across generations. The event is expected to draw several celebrities, prominent personalities, wellness advocates and yoga enthusiasts from across Mumbai.
A key attraction will be the presence of renowned Yoga Guru Ravi Dixit, who will lead the yoga session from the dais. Widely respected in yoga circles, Dixit has trained celebrities, politicians, Governors, Chief Ministers, ministers and other distinguished personalities during his long association with Kaivalyadhama, one of India’s oldest yoga institutions with centres in Lonavala and Mumbai.
“With over 44 years of experience, Dixit has taught yoga to millions of people in India and abroad. He worked in Indonesia for several years and has conducted yoga programmes in numerous countries. He has trained people in the USA, the UK, Canada and Singapore. He is also the author of several books, including Yoga for Seniors, Yoga as Therapy and New Horizons in Yoga. Dixit currently serves as Honorary Yoga Therapist to the Governor of Maharashtra. His daughter Anvita and son Anvay are also yoga teachers.”
Registration is ₹100, while students can participate free of charge. All registered participants will receive a complimentary yoga mat. Associate sponsors include IWC of Bombay Hanging Garden, Yogdivine and Madhavbaug.
