Air India Express has expanded its operations in Madhya Pradesh with the launch of new services from Bhopal, further strengthening the state’s domestic and international air connectivity. The airline said the new services are expected to support tourism, facilitate trade and contribute to the state’s economic growth.
Bookings for the newly launched flights are now open through the airline’s official website, mobile application and other major booking channels.
The latest expansion follows Air India Express’ recent introduction of direct international flights between Indore and Abu Dhabi, marking another milestone in the airline’s growing presence in Madhya Pradesh. With the addition of Bhopal, Air India Express now operates around 55 weekly flights across Bhopal, Gwalior and Indore, offering passengers improved travel options and seamless connectivity across its domestic and international network.
The airline said the enhanced services will provide greater convenience to business and leisure travellers while strengthening connectivity between Madhya Pradesh and key destinations, thereby supporting the state’s tourism sector, trade and investment opportunities.
Alongside network expansion, Air India Express continues to celebrate India’s rich cultural heritage through its ‘Tales of India’ initiative. As part of the programme, two of its Boeing 737-8 aircraft feature distinctive tail art inspired by Madhya Pradesh’s traditional crafts. One aircraft showcases the intricate Bagh hand-block printing, while another highlights the elegance of Chanderi handwoven textiles, both recognised as symbols of the state’s rich artistic legacy.
The initiative reflects the airline’s commitment to promoting India’s diverse cultural traditions while enhancing the travel experience for passengers. By combining improved connectivity with the celebration of regional heritage, Air India Express continues to strengthen its position as one of the country’s fastest-growing airlines.
