BMC worker stabbed to death in Wadala; manhunt for 2 launched

A man was stabbed to death by two persons in Mumbai over an alleged old dispute, the city police said on Monday.

The incident took place late on Sunday night when the 31-year-old victim, who worked in the cleanliness department of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), was chatting with his wife and other family members outside his building in Wadala.

At that time, the two accused arrived at the spot, attacked him and stabbed him several times with a sharp object, before running away.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, but he was declared dead by the doctors.

According to the police, the incident was the fallout of an old dispute between the victim and the accused.

The police have now registered a case under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). A manhunt has been launched to nab the accused duo.
