Truly a clean Mumbai green Mumbai

The BMC has started removing vehicles from the streets which led to encroachment and obstruction on the public street. From years we have seen a number of vehicles parked on streets gathering dust and rust on them which aren’t used and just using up the space of public streets. We recently saw that BMC stuck notices on such vehicles mentioning in them that the vehicles should be removed within 48 hours of the notice, if not then they will be taken away by the authorities. They even mentioned that expenses incurred by the Municipal Commissioner in effecting removal shall be recovered by the auction sale of the vehicles. For the first time in the history of Mumbai this is happening, which we think is a great initiative in order to free the public streets from encroachments which in turn will reduce the traffic and the junk too. We hope to see all the streets rid of such vehicles by the end of ‘20.
