After Ranbir Kapoor, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali also tests positive for COVID-19

Celebrated filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has tested positive for COVID-19. The ace director was shooting for his next directorial Gangubai Kathiawadi in Mumbai’s Goregaon Film City, which stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role.

According to a report, Bhansali has tested positive for COVID-19 and he is under self-quarantine.

“Alia Bhatt too has quarantined herself since SLB and Ranbir both have tested positive. Everybody who has come in contact with Sanjay has taken the test,” reveals a source close to the unit.

Earlier in the day, veteran actress Neetu Kapoor said in an Instagram post that her son, Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, has tested positive for COVID-19 and is recovering well.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who last helmed Padmaavat (2018), is working with Alia Bhatt for the first time. Gangubai Kathiawadi also features superstar Ajay Devgn in an important role.

The film is scheduled to release on July 30, 2021.
