Maha Gov presents Dr. Ambedkar Awards; International Buddha Peace Awards

The Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari presented the 12th Bharat Ratna Dr. Ambedkar Awards and International Buddha Peace Awards for notable contributions to the personalities in various walks of life at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Sunday 9th January 2022.

Those who were presented the Bharat Ratna Dr. Ambedkar Award included Dr. Vijay Kedia, Managing Director of Kedia Securities, and actress Harshali Malhotra (of Bajrangi Bhaijan fame).

The International Buddha Peace Awards were presented to Dr. Bharati Lavekar, Versova MLA, Subhash Kumar Agarwala – social worker, Business leader Partha Chakravarty, Businessman Dr. Md Moinuddin Bin Moksud, social worker Dr. Khalid Shaikh, Pastor Rev. Dr. Paritosh Canning and President of Manav Seva Foundation Vijay Shah.  During the award ceremony Kailash Masoom – President of Buddhanjali and Bhante Pankaj – President of Maitri Foundation was also present.

Dr. Bharti Lavekar, MLA from Versova speaking to Mumbai Messenger Newspaper about receiving the International Buddha Peace Award said “We as an MLA are public representative and involved in social causes of common people. When our work is recognized, appreciated and some valuable awards are given, it motivates us to do more work for common causes. It further enhances our enthusiasm to do more and more work.
