Young, dynamic and multi-talented Lalit Rai has joined IHG’s InterContinental Marine Drive, Mumbai as the Executive Sous Chef. He will be responsible for heading the culinary department, overseeing banqueting, managing three outlets namely L&S Bistro, Kebab Korner and Dome, as well as handling In-Room Dining services.
Chef Lalit brings a wealth of experience to his role, having previously served as an Executive Chef. His career journey has been shaped by key learning experiences, starting at Rodas, Powai, where he honed his skills in guest interactions and attention to detail. He later moved to Renaissance Mumbai and The Lalit Mumbai, before gaining international exposure in Dubai. During his time there, he worked alongside renowned chefs from Germany and Italy, further expanding his expertise. Rai has also collaborated with Michelin-starred chefs globally and contributed to the culinary offerings at establishments like Fairfield by Marriott in Lucknow and Orchid Mumbai, among others.
Rai shared his excitement about joining InterContinental Marine Drive Mumbai, saying, “The hotel has a rich history, and each of its outlets offers a distinct concept. I’m thrilled to contribute to its legacy and elevate the luxury experience for our guests.”
