CM Uddhav Thackeray tweeted on Wednesday “As a part of preparedness, the @ngpnmc , in collaboration with RSSB has built a fully-equipped Covid Care Centre. Developed in the ashram premises at Yerla, the centre has a capacity to house 5,000 beds. 20 doctors and other medical staff has been deputed for every 100 beds”
In another tweet he said “To purchase Shramik Train tickets for migrant labour stranded in Maharashtra & to bring back the ones stranded in other States, CM Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray has approved ₹54.75Crore from the CMRF. This amount has been transferred to the District Collectors”
The funds will also be utilised for bringing back those who are stranded outside the state, according to the instructions given by the Chief Minister Office (CMO) to all district administrations. It also said that the funds should only be utilised for travel purpose of these stranded people.
The funds which have been released through Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF) provided to all 36 districts and the amount has been transferred to the bank accounts of respective districts. Of the ₹54.75 crores, Mumbai City alone has received ₹12.96 crores while its suburbs have got ₹10 crores. Moreover, Pune has received ₹8 crores while Thane and Palghar have got ₹4.8 crores and ₹3 crores, respectively.
