IACCI organized a webinar on Doing Business with Ethiopia

As things are improving in a positive manner post-pandemic, the Indo-African Chamber of Commerce & Industry organized a webinar on Doing Business with Ethiopia on March 10, 2013, as part of the annual mega-event “I for Africa”, 11th edition. There was a positive response from participants to be a part of the webinar.

The webinar event was attended by several companies from diverse sectors. These companies included agricultural equipment, agro-processing & agri products, packaging machinery, pumps, power plant, architects & buildings, education, school materials, IT & Smart cities, transformers manufacturing, etc.

Consul General of Ethiopia in Mumbai, His Excellency Demeke Atnafu Ambulo, and Sunanda Rajendran, Secretary-General of Indo-African Chamber of Commerce & Industry made the presentation. The main area of highlights was Business opportunities existing in Ethiopia in specific sectors mentioned above.

Both dignitaries encouraged companies for Joint ventures, technology transfer as well as setting up medium-scale projects. There was a very positive response from Industrial houses.

His Excellency Demeke Atnafu Ambulo, CG of Ethiopia speaking exclusively to Mumbai Messenger Newspaper said “There are vast opportunities available in Ethiopia for Indian business houses. We are getting positive responses from participants and have also received many queries from Indian companies to commence business in Ethiopia. Due to the pandemic, many things came to a standstill position, but now things are improving. Now, pending expansion plans and establishing new industries are seeing progress. We are optimistic that things would speedily take pace”.
