RBI Marks 90th Anniversary with Commemorative My Stamp

 The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) celebrated a historic milestone of 90 years of dedicated service to the nation. To mark this occasion, the Department of Posts unveiled a customized ‘My Stamp’ featuring the RBI’s iconic 90 years logo, reflecting its legacy and vital role in the Indian economy.

The stamp was released by Smt. Droupadi Murmu, the Hon’ble President of India, in the presence of distinguished dignitaries, including Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan, Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Union Minister of Communications, Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM of Maharashtra, Ajit Pawar, Deputy CM of Maharashtra, Vandita Kaul, Secretary of the Department of Posts, Jitendra Gupta, Director General of Posts, and Amitabh Singh, Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle.

The event, held at Mumbai’s National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), brought together key leaders from the financial and postal sectors. It highlighted the long-standing partnership between the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the Department of Posts, both crucial in shaping India’s economy.

Since its establishment in 1935, the RBI has been central to India’s financial system, overseeing monetary policy, currency management, and financial regulation. The Department of Posts has been a key partner, enhancing the RBI’s reach and ensuring banking access in remote areas.

The commemorative stamp, marking RBI’s 90 years of financial service, celebrates the collaboration between the two institutions and their joint commitment to economic growth and financial inclusion in India. The ‘My Stamp’ issued today is a special collector’s item honouring this partnership and RBI’s role in India’s economic prosperity.
