With over 23 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, Chef Gaurav has established a remarkable career, having worked at prestigious hotels around the world.
In his new role as Director of Culinary, Chef Gaurav is focused on elevating dining experiences that align with the high standards of JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu. He will oversee the strategic planning and execution of the hotel’s diverse culinary offerings, from its restaurants and bars to banquet services.
Renowned for his creativity, innovative cooking techniques, and exceptional leadership, Chef Gaurav has played a crucial role in the success of JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu’s award-winning restaurants. Throughout his career, he has gained recognition for his expertise in menu development and his commitment to culinary excellence.
Chef Gaurav completed his culinary education at the esteemed Sophia Polytechnic in Mumbai and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Mumbai. He began his culinary career as a Chef de Partie at the iconic Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai, where he laid the foundation for his expertise. Over the years, Chef Gaurav has refined his skills at renowned international hotels, including The Kensington Close Hotel in London, The Pullman Jakarta, Sofitel Macau, and Fairmont Jaipur.
With a keen eye on global culinary trends and local flavors, Chef Gaurav ensures a perfect balance of consistency, creativity, and quality to cater to a broad range of tastes. Leading a talented culinary team, he encourages innovation and works closely with other departments to ensure the culinary experience reflects the brand’s luxury ethos.
